The long summer nights in Prague are best mixed with laughs, beers, food, and views in some way, shape, or form. We have put together some of the most beautiful sides of Prague during those long summer days so you can have a great time!

You can also find all of these and more on our map.

1. Spend some time in a beautiful park - Letna Beer Gardens

Check out Prague from above at the Letna Beer Gardens. One of the best views of the city can be found right by the beer gardens. On a warm sunny day, you’ll find expats and locals enjoying nice cold Czech beer up at the top of Letna hill. During the winter season, you will find people sipping hot wine and hot chocolate instead.

Letna Beer Gardens is a great place to spend an afternoon in the park with some friends. Sit at the beer gardens or bring a blanket and have a picnic. You'll also get a wonderful view of the sun setting over Prague Castle in the evening if you walk around the park. There really is no bad time to visit Letna.

During the summer we tend to make our way to Letna to enjoy the beer gardens with some friends. Some of our best memories from Prague are made right in this park!

2. Soak up the sun by the Vltava River - Zlute Lazne

Zlute Lazne is one of the best places to spend an afternoon soaking up the sun if you visit Prague during late spring or summer. From volleyball to delicious French fries you feel like you’re on a mini-vacation at Zlute Lazne. There are so many activities to do just inside this little recreational area. Whenever the sun is shining in Prague our first thoughts are always if we should go to Zlute Lazne or not?

Inside the recreational area, there is a nice grassy area where you can sunbathe, relax, read a book, or do whatever your heart desires. Once you get too hot, the river is right there just waiting for you to jump in. Just like a proper vacation!

3. Cruise the Vltava River - Paddle Boating in Vltava

On a sunny day in Prague, one of the best activities you can do is grab a paddle boat and cruise up and down the Vltava River. Choose from a vintage-looking car or swan paddle boat and grab a few drinks (but hide them as you walk in, haha) and enjoy an afternoon on the water. If you don’t want to be stuck inside and want to get out on a sunny day then paddle boating is fantastic.

The river gets filled with paddle boats zooming around and gets quite busy but there is plenty of room on the water to paddle around. Take in the views of the Dancing House, the National Theater, Charles Bridge, and of course the famous Prague Castle.

But don’t forget your sunscreen. Prague summers get HOT!

4. Get out in nature with a glass of wine - Prague Botanical Gardens

Take in a breath of fresh air and enjoy the view at Prague’s most beautiful botanical garden. Only a short tram ride from the city center you can find this beautiful little outdoor paradise.

Want to know the best part? There’s a winery connected to the botanical gardens. Come for the plants and flowers and finish off with a little rose or white wine. Or start with some wine and explore the gardens after.

It’s a peaceful place where you can enjoy areas like the Japanese Meditation Garden and the Mediterranea Flora area of the gardens. It really is the perfect summer activity. If you’re looking to get out of the city while still enjoying the views and good vibes, this is a good place to come relax while exploring beautiful flora and fauna from around the world. The wine is just the cherry on top.

Once you’ve had enough of walking around in the sun you can find a nice shady spot at the vineyard and enjoy some wine while taking in the views!

5. Best sunset in Prague - A Riegrovy Park Sunset

Riegrovy is one of the best if not the best sunset spot in Prague. You will watch the sunset over the Old Town of Prague. During summer nights you can stay up on the hill well past 9 pm and watch the sunset over the city.

If that’s not enough, well there’s even a huge beer garden with food trucks a two-minute walk from the sunset spot. There’s always so much going on in Riegrovy and it’s always a great vibe.

The park is always busy but summer sunsets are the best times to enjoy the park. It’s an awesome place to meet up and enjoy an evening with friends. Some great memories are always made in Riegrovy watching the sunsets and enjoying laughs with friends.
